A question from my Elementary Italian book:

Chinese food here is pretty much the same as back in the states.
McDonald’s French fries are pretty much the same as back in the states.
Yes I had both in one day, within 30 minutes of each other.
Television
School started today (more about that later).
I am taking a class called Comparative Media and one thing we will be doing is comparing American tv shows to Italian tv shows.
I do feel a little bit disconnected from media. No tv for 4 months, that includes hulu/netflix/tv online (I don’t miss it at all yet); no radio (which I think I will miss); ; no magazines or newspapers; etc.
I didn’t even realize the Golden Globes were on until the next morning.
But I did find out that we get MTV in our apartment and some of it is in English. Also the MTV Italy site has some series in English. I watched the first episode of Jersey Shore. So if I reeeeally need it, I can find it.
